A Thesis Proposal Title: Particle Accelerators for Society: Industrial Applications Research area: Applied Physics and Complex Systems Approximate duration: 3 months Place where it will be held: University of Bologna Short topic description: Since the 1930s, particle accelerators have reached ever greater energies and produced new particles with ever higher masses for the ever more in-depth study of the constituents of matter. Subsequently, accelerating machines proved to be increasingly important also in other sectors (pharmacy, medicine, cultural heritage, industry, ...). The compilation thesis aims to deepen the use of particle accelerators in the field of industry.
